Biography
Jennifer Hirshfield’s work is influenced by her profound need to make connections with nature, animals and people. Her application of paint and looseness of stroke stem from her studies at UC Davis under influential Bay Area Figurative painters.
The energy applied in the painting process is meant to mirror the
energy of the painting's subject --whether a figure or ocean, the energy is the same.
